Markus Giebel serves as the Chairman of Vedera Capital. He was until mid-2010 the CEO of Deyaar Development PJSC, a public traded real estate company listed on the DFM (Dubai Financial Market). Until 2004 Markus Giebel was as a senior executive of Corning, a Fortune 500 firm headquartered in the US. In 2003 he became the youngest Vice President of Corning and took control of the OEM Market in Europe and the Middle East after the successful acquisition of Siemens NK valued at $US 1.5 billion.
Throughout his career, Giebel was presented with several awards and distinctions, including the CEO Award of the Middle East (2010), the Leadership Award of the Middle East (2010), the INSEAD case study (2009), the Business Award from the German Ministry of Economic Affairs (2004) and other honors. He was awarded over 25 patents and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Switzerland Business School, and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Munich in Germany.
Markus Giebel serves currently on multiple Boards (Chairman of Vedera Capital, Chairman of Aesthetics, Board member of Homeway) and is involved in many business ventures around the globe.
